Regular Facebook users who also administer brand pages may have noticed a small change that was introduced last week.

Individuals can easily add comments and likes as themselves

When logged into a Page, previously it has been possible, but inconvenient for admins to post as themselves.  Now you can switch identities at the click of a button.

The main advantage is for pages that have multiple admins, where some of the admins may not want to speak as the ‘voice’ of the page.  They can now add their own personal comments and likes.

Ensure all updates are by the Page, not individuals

Anyone using the voice swap feature should be mindful that it can be easy to forget which identity you are posting as.  If you do an ‘official’ update to your page, you must make sure you are logged in as the page, or you will lose credibility and reach.
