Most British skiers are aware by now that a new gondola has opened in London, linking the O2 Arena and Excel. But how many miss the snow that much that they felt they had to travel on it?
Flash Mob goes viral
London-based ski travel agency, Ski Solutions, caused a stir on social media last week. One of their team, Digby Rawlins, set up a ‘Flash Mob the Air Line’ event. The idea was simple, grab your friends and your ski gear and teach Londoners how to ride a gondola properly.
The story was picked up first by ski website, J2ski.com and shared by their news editor, Patrick Thorne, and shortly afterwards by Skipedia.
It created a real splash and that media coverage is still coming in for Ski Solutions as sites like Welove2ski report on the day itself.
All in all, some great fun, and a great viral success!
