French President Macron may have stated that opening French ski resorts for Christmas would be ‘impossible‘, but ‘les stations’ are not giving up hope yet.
This week has seen demonstrations in many French ski resorts as the communities have come together to show solidarity.

Apart from the significant impact on the 120,000 jobs that the snowsports industry supports, the #MontagneEnColere has been trending as resorts point out the many inconsistencies of government policy.
Many have noted that the lift to the Eiffel Tower can open, and the Metro is considered, but not lifts in ski resorts, despite the many safety measures in place.
