Now in its eighth year, Booking.com’s 2023 annual Sustainable Travel Report, gathered insights from over 33,000 travellers from 35 countries.

The latest survey shows that there is a huge appetite for sustainable travel solutions – but it helps if those options are not more expensive.

Booking.com has committed to reach net-zero by 2040, by achieving a 95% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 50% reduction in scope 3 emissions by 2030.

We have picked out ten standout stats from the report.

These stats suggest that travel companies need to have sustainable options for travellers, but also that they need to think carefully about how they communicate and price those options.
