Ed Leigh and Tim Warwood are teaming up to produce a new ski and snowboard podcast, bringing together two of the most recognisable voices in British winter sports.
The pair have been familiar to BBC viewers for many years through their work on ‘Ski Sunday’ and the summer and winter Olympics. Following the BBC’s decision to end Ski Sunday after almost 50 years, they are starting a new podcast, titled ‘Snow Globe’.
The podcast will be launched in London on 16 October.
Both Ed Leigh and Tim Warwood have previously been guests on The Ski Podcast.
Ed Leigh explained the terms used to describe freestyle tricks, as well as how the judges come up with their scores, in one of The Ski Podcast’s Winter Olympics special episodes.
He previously spoke about his time on Ski Sunday and his journey as a broadcaster from Turin 2006 to Paris 2024 in Episode 236 of The Ski Podcast.
Tim Warwood has also appeared on The Ski Podcast, reflecting on his career as a commentator in Episode 177.
Among the stories Warwood shared were how he persuaded actor Bill Nighy to lipsync to Kim Wilde and the truth behind that infamous moment when Jenny Jones won bronze at Sochi.
Ed Leigh and Tim Warwood’s snowboarding podcast will start in October 2026.
