Although not unknown in the UK market, it is rare to see ski advertising on British TV.

This time last year, buoyed by Travel Alberta’s marketing dollars, Crystal Ski ran their first ever TV advert.  The ad screened nationally during the winter on Channel 4, Film 4, E4 and More 4.

And in October last year we blogged about the first TV advert for a ski show, when the Scottish Ski and Snowboard Show apparently promoted their event locally.

But this is the first time we have seen an advert for a ski resort on British television.  The ad was screened on Sky Atlantic – Sky’s boutique channel – so maybe Ischgl are targetting an ‘upmarket’ clientele.
