British snowsports premier freestyle competition ‘The Brits’ will take place in Mayrhofen, Austria next winter.
It will be the first time the event has taken place in the Alps since 2019, when Laax in Switzerland was the venue.
Stu Brass, organiser of ‘The Brits’ confirmed the news in Episode 213 of The Ski Podcast:
“It’s fantastic news. The British Championships were held there in 2000 and 2001, so it’s a place we’re going back to. They’ve got a world-class park for the guys and girls to throw down on.”

Aviemore and Tamworth hosted 2023 and 2024 editions
The pandemic put the event on hold for a couple of years, but ‘The Brits’ returned in 2023 to Aviemore and the 2024 event at Tamworth Snowdome attracted 200 competitors.

“Way more snow!”
The facilities in Mayrhofen mean that a full skier cross and boarder cross can take place. “The difference between being in the Alps means way more snow coverage, so we can have four people racing side by side,” said Brass.
The exact dates will be announced soon on their website – www.britssnow.com
