A recent survey by Locasun showed that the cheapest French resorts were Chamrousse, Puy St Vincent and Les Angles in the French Pyrénées.

However, they noted that other resorts have much larger ski areas, so this was not a fair comparison.

They decided to look at which resorts offered the best value based on the cost relative to the available kilometres of piste.

Using the same methodology, taking into account the cost of accommodation, rental and lift pass for six days, they concluded that Les Menuires is the best value ski resort in France.
